The Canon Hayes Recreation Centre ( Tipperary Sports Centre ) in Tipperary Town boasts a vast range of state of the art Health, Fitness and Sports facilities. Our Gym is fully equipped with state-of-the-art exercise machines including Walking/Running Machines, Cycling Machines, Step Aerobics Machines, Rowing Machines, and more. Canon Hayes Gym provides a fully-comprehensive range of training aids and facilities.


Canon Hayes Recreation Centre is a modern centre with an excellent range of sporting, health and leisure facilities. Our Indoor facilities include a sports hall, 25m swimming pool, sauna & steam room, squash, racquetball courts and a magnificent gymnasium. Outdoor facilities an Canon Hayes Gym include a floodlit olympic-size running track. all-weather pitch and 2 tennis courts

The Sports Centre caters for families and individuals of all ages and fitness levels. The Sports Centre is located centrally in the town, on Fr. Matthew Street, near the turn-off for Clonmel. Ample free parking is provided for cars, coaches and buses of all types. Access to the municipal swimming pool is also possible via the centre.

The Main Hall is available for hire, bookable in advance. Individual courts can also be booked. The centre has disabled access to all facilities.
